Behind the Story
My journey that was revived by ChristThe story of how I started to walk with God.
Brother Hoon has been birthed through the inspiration of a christian monk from Paris at the Carmelite Monastery in the 1600’s. His name is Brother Lawrence of the Resurrection. He is known to have intimacy with God. He wrote “The Practice of the Presence of God.” He has been an inspiration in my life. After I was born again by the Spirit of God, I read his book. I was searching for people who had a deep intimacy with God. I loved how he was a cook in the kitchen cooking, cleaning and serving the brotherhood. This is what I love to do naturally. He taught that you can be with God and walk with Him all the time. It was just a matter of practicing the presence of God in your daily walk. I too want a deeper connection with God and also for the world to know the Lord and to walk with Him.
The ministry in these last days we live in is completely different from the way things have been from days of old. New things are happening as God is revealing to His Saints in which was prophesied by the Lord. It is God’s desire to bring salvation to the inhabitants of the earth. The Lord is looking for those who will follow Him. The Ecclesia is a group of people dedicated to the Lord in discipleship through His Spirit. Lots of traditions of men have disallowed and broken the connection we can have with God. Everything a church or a denomination has become is systematically institutionalized by religion. God did not come to establish a religious institution but a people saved by HIs grace to walk out His will. The only ministry known in the New Testament is called The Ministry of Reconciliation.
When we carefully read the New Testament, we see, it is clearly different from the way man and God does things. We have to allow ourselves to be rightly in alignment with His divine sovereign will for the days ahead. The book of revelation speaks of the Holy Spirit speaking to the Ecclesia. “He that has ears let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Ecclesia.”
The Ecclesia is commonly known and taught by the institutional religion as “Church.” Ecclesia is translated in the majority of bibles as church. The actual translation should be assembly or congregation. The word church brings to mind a building. The Lord did not come to save a building or build a physical church. He came to save His people from their sins so that they can walk with Him for eternity in His good, perfect and acceptable will for their lives.
Take a look at the picture above. It is a building but notice the light shining through. What is more important the building or the Light who is God? Traditional churches have put the building and the ministry above God. I think the people who are searching for the truth need to be built up and edified. Of course this can be done in a building. I am saying that the building to worship in is not important to God. What is important to Him is that you walk in the light as He is in the light. The background image I have on the home page. Our walk with Him is way more important to Him than having an institutional church.
The beginning experience of a believer is an internal resurrection called being born again. The Ecclesia is the Body of Christ who is Born Again by the Spirit of Adoption whereby we call God our Abba, who is Father in Heaven. God our Father walking with us by His Spirit in us. This is the New Testament Ecclesia.
The Light Shines in the Darkness, Christ the Light has come!
Matthew 4:14-17 KJV That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; 16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Seek the Light of God, Jesus Christ!
John 1:4-5 KJV In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
“I always wanted to know God. Christ came to me. Saved me. Now I walk with Him by His Holy Spirit.”
